Dallas Afterschool Announces Newly Certified Afterschool Sites

DALLAS, Texas (September 10, 2018) – The research behind Dallas Afterschool’s work proves that the quality of an afterschool program can make a significant difference in how much a child improves academically, socially and emotionally. Each year the nonprofit coaches, evaluates, and certifies afterschool programs that pass its rigorous 74-point assessment for safety and quality, known as Afterschool Quality Advancement (AQUA). Newly certified sites include:


After-School All-Stars (2 locations: Hector Garcia and Thomas C. Marsh Middle Schools)

Baylor Scott & White Health & Wellness Center

Frazier Revitalization at Frazier Courts

Heart House (4 locations: Park Lane, Pineland, Stratford Hill, and Wildflower)

HIS BridgeBuilders at Turner Courts

KCE Champions LLC at Uplift Luna Primary Preparatory

Kids-U (3 locations: Cantera Creek, Park Ninety Six 90, and Town Center)

Project Transformation (4 locations: Casa Linda, Elmwood, Grace, and Walnut Hill United Methodist Churches)

St. Vincent de Paul StudyTime (2 locations: Dallas Thrift Store and Santa Clara of Assisi Catholic Academy)

Voice of Hope (2 locations: Uplift Gradus Preparatory and Main Campus)

These sites join Dallas Afterschool’s existing certified sites: Catholic Charities (Cardinal Farrell Community Center); Circle of Support (Main Campus); Foundation Communities (Peters Colony, Shadow Brook & Sleepy Hollow); Jubilee Park and Community Centers (Main Campus); Momentous Institute (Main Campus); Readers 2 Leaders (Booktown and Uplift Heights Preparatory); and Trinity River Mission (Main Campus).
