Can children participate in Field Day?

Children may participate in Field Day at no charge if they are accompanied by parent or guardian. However, please note that t-shirts and lunch will be included only for the two registered adult team members. You may purchase additional meals or t-shirts on the registration page.

Can I have a team of four?

Field Day is designed for teams of 2 but you may choose to collaborate with another team as a foursome. Both teams will need to register separately. On event day, choose one team as “lead” for completing challenges in the app. If your foursome wins it’s up to you to split the prize however you like. 

Where does the scavenger hunt begin and end?

You can start from anywhere! After registration we will provide a general radius recommended for starting based on the route. 

Are challenge areas walkable?

The scavenger hunt will take you to several places in the Dallas area, so you will need a vehicle to travel to each location. However, once you get to a challenge area, we recommend that you park your car and complete the series of challenges on foot – to enjoy the adventure and to stay safe.

Does the route follow a specific order?

Once registrants access the event app, event tasks or “challenges” are grouped by area. These tasks may be completed at random.

How does the app work?

Once registered, each team will download the event app to one team member’s phone and create an account. We will send an event JOIN CODE prior to May 8th, giving teams access to the scavenger hunt. However, event “challenges” will not appear on the app until May 8th at 11:00AM.

Will food be provided?

Yes! To maintain social distancing, lunch will be provided via food truck at Dallas Afterschool from 11:00AM to 2:00PM. Participants may stop by at anytime during the event. A vegetarian option will be available.

How does team fundraising work?

Teams have the option to raise additional funds for Dallas Afterschool so we may continue to ensure EVERY CHILD in Dallas has the opportunity to succeed. You may create and customize a fundraising page (including goal) and send to your network.

We will be awarding a special prize for the best overall fundraiser!

Do I have to register for Field Day to be a fundraiser?

No! Individuals are not required to participate in the scavenger hunt in order to create a fundraising page (and you are still eligible for the best overall fundraiser prize).  Create a fundraising page
